20 years later

20 years it takes, for nostalgia for a decade to hit its peak. The backwards looking of society like this, I think is when we are really disenchanted with the current time period, and thats when we take the strongest inspiration from that time and re-apply it to the current time.

It's happenning now with 2006 specifically. The best time, right at the peak of technology and just before smartphones came and ruined it all. We're done with what smartphones became now. They were interesting, but they went in the worst direction. We now need to correct that. We're saying, ok I see what smartphones are now, they've reached their peak and it's not ok, we dont like what they've become. We're saying now, ok when things were good, right before they came, let's take it back to that and re-think what we want this technology to be. We can take what smartphones have given us in terms of technology and capability, and reform it with the ideals, aesthetics and values of 2006. A humanastic optimistic future, where tech only adds to the human experience, which remains the protected, enshrined base that we value above all.

Quotes

Our perspective on technology and other people has been greatly distorted into the negative. In reality, the Internet has terabytes of high-quality resources to learn from. There are thousands of people just like you looking for connection, hungry for a better vision of the future, wanting to cultivate nourishing hobbies.
